The edition was created by Vergnano for her exhibition "This Hiding Place" at Limited Works in early 2018.

In the exhibition Alina Vergnano explores the side of the mind in which we find a safe space from the world outside. A place where we can hide and wonder, where there is no time and no purpose.

In a suspended atmosphere, arms, legs and hands are entwined in an everlasting embrace and forests are overgrowing and whirling around the body, disguising and protecting it at the same time.

Alina Vergnano (Turin, Italy, 1989)
She has a bachelor degree in illustration and animation from the European Institute of Design in Turin, Italy. In 2012 she moved to Copenhagen and then to Göteborg, Sweden where she lives and works today.

Alina Vergnano’s artistic practice originates with drawing but has developed into different media as printmaking, sculpture, animation and painting. Her body of work explores different surfaces and materials and stretches from small sculptures to big drawings and installations. Her latest works are suspended between figuration and abstraction where memory and time, the body and the inner side of the human being are the most influent themes. Since 2012 her work has been exhibited in galleries and artistic venues in different countries in Europe and Asia. She recently exhibited with Gallery Susanne Petterson in Stockholm and Studiolo in Milan.
